Violent or Abusive Patients
The surgery, like most NHS organisations, has a zero tolerance policy toward violence and abuse. Any patient who behaves inappropriately will immediately be removed from the practice's patient list and the police will be informed.

If you have complaints or concerns about the surgery or the service you have received please contact Caroline Harker, the practice manager, who will deal with them promptly. Scorton Medical Centre, like most NHS organisations, has an in-house complaints procedure in line with national guidance. A copy of this is available on request.
Resolving concerns and complaints locally remains our aim. However, if you remain dissatisfied you have the right to ask the Healthcare Commission to review your case. You can contact them on 020 7448 9200 or write to them at Healthcare Commission Complaints Team, Peter House, Oxford Street, Manchester, M1 5AN or visit their website.
